SATURN offers a heavy duty Rope Guide System as a SAFETY option on all our NEW Standard Headroom Hoists. 

This system features a heavy duty BRONZE Rope Guide and Slide as well as a DEEP GROOVED Drum; grooved to 100% depth of the wire rope.  Our Rope Guide System allows for moderate side pulling, slack cable conditions and other load swings that may cause the wire rope to lose its proper groove and bind up or pile up on the drum. 

This option should ALWAYS be a consideration on LONG LIFT hoist applications but especially on those in which the operator is not able to clearly see the drum.
